Prefects Investiture and Student Leadership
Our school commissioned the 2026 Prefectorial Board, marking the start of their leadership journey. Through the Lunch Ladle programme, our prefects demonstrated servant leadership by serving the community with love and humility.
Our school community gathered on 13 March 2026 for the formal commissioning of the 2026 Prefectorial Board. During the meaningful "Passing of the Light," a ceremony symbolizing the enduring continuity of faith and service at OLGC.
At OLGC, we believe that true leadership is rooted in character , sound values and the daily choice to do good. As our student leaders step forward to serve, may they continue to build a caring community and reflect God's love in all that they do.
A Legacy of Service
What began as a heartfelt initiative in October 2025 has blossomed into a meaningful tradition of service for our school. Originally led by 2025 Head Prefect Jacquelyn Goh and Vice Head Prefects Claire Divya and Isabelle Cai, our collaboration with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SSVP) at the Church of Christ the King has become a cornerstone of our student leadership journey.
Through the Lunch Ladle programme, our prefects serve the Friends in Need (FINs) in Ang Mo Kio, living out our school theme: Love our Compass, Humility our Anchor. Guided by love and anchored in humility, our students are learning to be servant leaders who make a lasting difference.
