International Friendship Day
Our school celebrated International Friendship Day through engaging activities and performances that promoted friendship and cultural appreciation. The celebration encouraged students to build meaningful connections in our diverse community.
International Friendship Day: Forging Friendships in a Complex World
Our school recently buzzed with vibrant energy as we celebrated International Friendship Day. This year’s theme, "Singapore: Forging Friendships in a Complex World," invited our students to look beyond their immediate circles and embrace the beauty of our diverse global community. Through music, movement, and hands-on activities, we explored how friendship can be a bridge across cultures.
Recess Activities: Creativity and Connection
Recess was filled with laughter and meaningful connection as students took part in activities that celebrated teamwork and culture. Through QR-cofe crosswords and Panabaegan flower band-making, students learnt how individual strengths can come together beautifully as one.
These activities encouraged students to practice Habit 6: Synergized by supporting one another and showing kindness. It was heartening to see students including their international friends. reflecting out spirit of unity. As a Chirst-centred community, we are reminded that we are "many parts, but in body" (1 Corinthians 12:20), each playing a part in reflecting God's love.
Assembly Highlights: "Memphis & the Mask"
The celebration continued with a captivating assembly performance titled "Memphis & the Mask". Through the power of the arts, the performance helped students dive deeper into the complexities of building meaningful friendships across different backgrounds.
Living the 7 Habits Every Day
To wrap up our celebrations, we reflected on how we can turn these lessons into daily habits.
